Bovis Fine Art is thrilled to announce its affiliation with the International Convention of Art Exhibition Fine Art Transporters (I.C.E.F.A.T.), the largest and most prestigious international association of art transporters. Established in 1977, ICEFAT currently brings together 80 companies from 37 countries worldwide.
ICEFAT organizes an annual international convention that gathers all its members. Each yearly convention takes place in a different country across the five continents. Following last year’s event in Athens, Greece, the Icefat convention is scheduled for October 2023 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
This convention provides a global platform for members to engage in discussions on topics relevant to the international art transport industry.
ICEFAT, a seal of quality
Over the past decade, ICEFAT has developed and implemented a set of standards to ensure the quality, safety, and confidentiality of art logistics services.
The ICEFAT seal has become a powerful symbol of quality, indicating that a company has successfully undergone a comprehensive audit conducted by the globally renowned independent audit firm, E&Y. These audits are systematically conducted for new members and gradually extended to longstanding association members.
Currently comprising 181 standards across 13 categories, the audited quality standards cover all aspects of international art transport services:
- Physical operations
- Operational processes
- Administrative procedures
This exhaustive audit reviews facilities, art storage areas, specialized climate-controlled vehicles for art transport, customer services, procedures, and more. The goal is to ensure the highest and most demanding quality levels in the industry.
