Transport et installation d'une exposition d'art contemporain à Narbonne

Transport and installation of the works presented in the contemporary art exhibition “Vestiges of the Future” at the Narbo Via Museum in Narbonne

Renowned specialist in the transport, packaging, and installation of artworks, Bovis Fine Art has once again demonstrated its expertise in a large-scale project, the temporary exhibition “Vestiges of the Future” at the Narbo Via Museum in Narbonne, where remnants of the past engage in dialogue with modern works.

From May 24th 2023 to February 25th, 2024, the Narbo Via Museum hosts this visionary exhibition that explores the connections between the past, present, and future through a selection of archaeological objects, contemporary artworks, and interactive installations.

Transport of contemporary artworks from MRAC Occitanie

This exhibition is the result of a collaboration with the Regional Museum of Contemporary Art Occitanie Pyrénées Méditerranée (MRAC Occitanie). MRAC Occitanie has lent a selection of contemporary works of great artistic value for the “Vestiges of the Future” exhibition at the Narbo Via Museum in Narbonne.

Bovis Fine Art Montpellier took charge of the packaging, transport, and installation of these works. Thanks to the expertise of our teams, we ensured not only the security and integrity of the pieces during transit but also their optimal presentation in the exhibition space.

Unprecedented challenges for artwork installation

The “Vestiges of the Future” exhibition presented a unique challenge for the Bovis Fine Art installation team. One of the major constraints was the prohibition of drilling walls to hang the works, necessitating alternative and innovative methods.

To meet this requirement, the experts at Bovis Fine Art opted for ingenious solutions. The works were suspended by cables. Some of these cables, nearly invisible, created the magical illusion of floating works in the exhibition space. For metallic pieces, discreet magnets were used, ensuring secure fixation without compromising surface integrity.

This technical challenge underscores Bovis Fine Art’s unwavering commitment to excellence and quality. By combining artisanal expertise and technological innovation, the team ensured the preservation and optimal presentation of artworks, contributing to visitors’ immersive experience.
