Contemporary art sculptures transported and installed in Sharjah, UAE
BOVIS Fine Art Middle East was trusted to transport and install various sculptures in and around the new BeeAh headquarters in Sharjah, UAE.
With their twin-pillared strategy of sustainability and digitalisation, BeeAh Group is a Sharjah-based public-private partnership company. BeeAh works across six key industries that include waste management and recycling, clean energy, environmental consulting, education and green mobility.
The building was designed by Zaha Hadid Architects and blends in with its desert and sand dunes environment on the edge of the Sharjah’s Al Sajaa desert.
The installation work featured pieces of Lebanese artist Basbous, Kieta Miyazaki and Anthony Howe. The sculptures were selected as a reference to the landscape around them with textures ranging from rusted to polished steel.
A technical heavy handling for the installation of some of the sculptures
The kinetic modern windmill piece by Anthony Howe took some time to assemble and mount, while the heavy Basbous pieces which were placed in the park-like surroundings of the structure, required a gantry crane and a heavy tail lift.
Bovis Fine Art Middle East in Dubai is a recognized specialist in very technical heavy handlings for the installation of sculptures and monumental artworks. We work from Dubai in the different Emirates of UAE but also in neighbouring countries (Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia…) for specific projects.
The BOVIS art handlers enjoyed the technical side of the installation as well as a day out in the desert, where they ran into free roaming camels while getting to the site.
Crew chief commented: ”This type of work makes a nice break from the usual installation job which tends to be flat art on walls. I love to work on more challenging sculpture installations which BOVIS Middle East is increasingly known for”.
