Transport, handling, and installation of artworks showcased in the Wang Keping exhibition at Château de Chambord (October 15, 2023 – March 17, 2024)
Bovis Fine Art is honored to be part of the transportation, handling, and installation of Chinese artist Wang Keping’s works for his exhibition at Château de Chambord. The exhibition runs from October 15, 2023, to March 17, 2024.
Sculpture-fitted crates and packaging
Even before transportation, each artwork is meticulously packaged. For those without dedicated crates, we use pallets and carefully crafted packaging techniques to ensure security during transit.
Artwork removal and transportation
Our teams conduct multiple collection rounds in the Parisian region, visiting the artist’s studio in Vitry sur Seine and a storage warehouse in northern Paris. Parisian artworks receive temporary storage in our climate-controlled, secure warehouses in southern Paris before delivery to Chambord. In our secure warehouses, our professional logistics teams oversee each step to ensure museum-quality storage.
Sculpture handling at Château de Chambord
The use of a crane-equipped truck with JIB ensures the delicate lifting of artworks to the second floor of the castle. For substantial sculptures like “L’amour des forêts” and “Pomone,” prior unpacking is planned to overcome access constraints.
Precision installation of sculptures
Our dedicated installation team, equipped with an aluminum gantry, hoists, and specialized tools, ensures the precise placement of artworks on their pedestals following the specific instructions of the organizing museum. Ground reinforcement measures guarantee maximum safety during the use of lifting equipment.

Born in 1949 near Beijing, Wang Keping is a major figure in contemporary Chinese art. His unconventional journey and artistic commitment have left a lasting mark over several decades. His sculptures, inheriting a rare tradition of direct carving, will be showcased at Château de Chambord, highlighting the richness of his work and exceptional contribution to art history.
