The prestigious installation of “Ether” by Kohei Nawa
A striking example of our remarkable expertise is the recent installation of Kohei Nawa’s monumental sculpture “Ether.” This captivating work, standing at 25 meters tall, has been erected at the tip of the island, behind the Seine Musicale, in the Hauts-de-Seine department. “Ether” symbolizes equality and marks the artist’s first permanent monumental creation in Europe.
Exceptional human and mechanical resources
To accomplish this monumental task, Bovis Fine Art Paris mobilized considerable human and mechanical resources. With a 100-ton mobile crane, two telescopic platforms, and a team of 8 experienced handlers, we ensured the precise transportation, handling, and assembly of this astonishing 12-faceted sculpture.
About Kohei Nawa
Born in Osaka in 1975, Kohei Nawa is an internationally acclaimed multidisciplinary artist. Represented in London and New York by the Pace Gallery, Nawa seamlessly blends innovative technologies with ancient spiritualities in his astonishing and spectacular works. His impact in France was notably felt during the “Japonismes 2018” season, where he showcased creations at the Louvre Museum and the Museum of Hunting and Nature in Paris.
The masterpiece “Ether (Equality)” illustrates Kohei Nawa’s unique ability to blend cutting-edge technologies with elements steeped in tradition. Depicting the inverted fall of a water droplet, this sculpture once again demonstrates his artistic mastery.
