Déménagement de sculptures du Louvre par Bovis Fine Art

– DISPLACEMENT OF THE MOST COLOSSAL ROMAN STATUES OF THE RESERVES, DIONYSUS AND HERACLES –

Extract from Arte’s superb report “The Louvre is moving” devoted to this prestigious operation.

Our Bovis Fine Art teams are proud to have taken part in the titanic project of transferring the reserves of the Louvre located in a flood zone to their new building in the North. Congratulations to our teams who accomplished very complex technical and logistical work during this collection move.

A titanic project to transport ancient and priceless works

Antique sculptures of monumental size sometimes weighing more than a ton, delicate and small masterpieces, have been moved with infinite caution inside the reserves of the Louvre by our specialized technicians.

The transfer of these exceptional works to their new conservation centre in Lievin in the Hauts de France has been coordinated with great rigor and organization by our teams.

We are very proud to have contributed to the success of this large-scale project, the manipulation of monumental and fragile works being part of Bovis Fine Art’s DNA.
